Are there areas where drone flights are prohibited?
  

Yes. There are zones where drone flights are completely or partially restricted – for example near airports, nature reserves, or military facilities.

Check the drone map and DABS before each flight:

DJI shows a geofencing warning – what should I do?
  

Geofencing warnings on DJI drones do not replace official rules.

Procedure:

  • Check the map on map.geo.admin.ch
  • Click on the zone and read the information
  • If necessary: obtain permission from the responsible authority
Can airfields charge fees for permits?
  

Yes, this is allowed.

  • Licensed aerodromes may charge reasonable fees.
  • Unlicensed airfields are not regulated – they can set fees freely.
