How high am I allowed to fly my drone?
  
  • The maximum flight height in the open category is 120 m above ground level. "Above ground" means: 120 m from the nearest point of the earth's surface, including hills or mountains.
  • When flying over obstacles higher than 120 m (e.g. buildings, towers), an additional 15 m height may be used – only with the property owner's consent.

How is the maximum weight of my drone calculated?
  

The MTOM (Maximum Take-Off Mass) indicates the maximum weight set by the manufacturer – including:

  • Drone
  • Battery
  • Camera
  • Any accessories

Do not exceed! If drone + battery already weigh 1 kg and the MTOM is 1 kg → no additional weight allowed.

What role do radio frequencies play?
   Drones with transmitter/receiver are considered radio equipment and are subject to telecommunications law.

From what age am I allowed to fly a drone?
  
  • Open category from 12 years old
  • Specific category from 14 years old
  • Under 12 years only under direct supervision of a trained person at least 16 years old
