Do I have to report an accident or incident?
  

Yes, reporting is mandatory in certain cases, especially in the event of:

  • Accidents involving people (serious or fatal injuries)
  • Collisions with manned aircraft
  • Serious technical incidents

Voluntary reporting of minor incidents is also encouraged to improve flight safety for everyone.

Overview of the two reporting procedures:
  

Immediate report in case of a serious incident or accident

Report immediately to:

  • REGA Emergency Centre: Tel. 1414 (within Switzerland) / Tel. +41 333 333 333 (from abroad)

REGA will inform the Swiss Transportation Safety Investigation Board (SUST)

Report within 72 hours in case of safety-relevant events

Submit a report no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of the event via:

or

  • the FOCA reporting portal (accessible via the official website)

Important: As a drone operator or remote pilot, you are responsible for reporting relevant incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
